Details

Mitre Peak, also known as Mitre Peak West, is a mountain located in the Karakoram Range of the Himalayas, near the border between Pakistan and China. It stands at an elevation of approximately 6,010 meters (19,715 feet) above sea level. Mitre Peak is part of the larger Karakoram range and is known for its rugged and technically challenging terrain. Mitre Peak is often sought after by experienced mountaineers looking for a challenging and adventurous climb. It features steep rock faces, ice, and mixed terrain, making it a technically demanding ascent. The mountain's remote location and pristine environment add to its appeal. Climbing Mitre Peak offers mountaineers the opportunity to test their skills in a less crowded and more isolated part of the Karakoram, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. It's a goal for those who appreciate both adventure and the raw, unspoiled landscapes of this remarkable mountain region.
